Investing in Requestly: Simplifying API Testing and Debugging for Web and Mobile Applications

Share :

We're pleased to announce our investment in Requestly, a company simplifying how developers test and debug APIs for web and mobile applications.

As mobile app usage continues to dominate, with mobile devices driving 61% of website visits and users spending 90% of their time on apps, the need for efficient API testing tools has never been greater. Yet, developers spend much of their time manually debugging APIs—an inefficient and error-prone process. Requestly steps in to change that by offering a streamlined, developer-friendly solution.

Requestly streamlines API testing and debugging, enabling developers to capture and modify API responses without backend changes. With its client-side API mocking system, developers can easily simulate various scenarios, reducing the need for code modifications during testing.

Requestly offers a user-friendly browser extension, desktop app, and upcoming Android SDK, simplifying API testing without complex configurations, even for mobile apps with SSL pinning. This sets it apart from traditional approaches that require time-consuming codebase changes or cumbersome proxy solutions.

Moreover, Requestly prioritizes collaboration by allowing teams to seamlessly share configurations and testing scenarios through cloud-synced rules and settings. This enables developers to work efficiently across devices and share potential fixes with teammates in a single click, fostering a collaborative debugging process and optimizing workflows between developers, product managers, and QA teams.

Led by a team of experienced engineers—Sachin Jain (ex-Google, Adobe, and Blinkit), Sahil, and Sagar—the Requestly team has firsthand experience with the frustrations of debugging APIs. Sachin and Sahil’s background working together at Blinkit, combined with Sagar’s perspective as an early Requestly user, has resulted in a tool that truly addresses the needs of developers.

We believe Requestly is uniquely positioned to become a key player in the growing API testing and debugging space. The company is solving real pain points faced by developers, with a solution that is faster, more collaborative, and easier to use than traditional tools. By focusing on both web and mobile app development, Requestly is addressing a growing market need while building a product that scales with modern development practices. We’re excited to partner with Sachin, Sahil, Sagar, and the entire Requestly team as they continue to build and expand their platform.
